Thank You!

I got a notification today that someone had sent $ to my Venmo account.  At the time I got the notification I was in the KVCAP wheelchair van with total strangers and Rachel, the driver.

The amount is for $750 and will cover the cost of the NOMIGO Light Weight Electric Reclining Wheelchair I need to get back and forth to dialysis.

I had all I could to not cry right there in a van full of strangers!

Tonight, I ordered my new wheelchair.  I am excited to receive it on June 4th.  This new chair will allow me to use my house again.  I get tired very quickly when operating my scooter.  I have 10 minutes tops in the scooter before my back starts hurting.  My arms and shoulders hurt driving too.  My manual wheelchair requires constant assistance and it doesn’t fit through my interior doorways.  The new chair reclines for resting and if my BP is low I won’t get dizzy. It is narrower too, so I will be able to use my slideboard from my bed and have full access to my house and ramp.

In theory, I will be able to leave my room without assistance.

I plan to send a personal thank you to my gift givers, but I want to say it here too
