My name Cindy.  I am Nikitazkya just about everywhere online.  I have had the internet name since my Delphi and AOL accounts in the early 90s.

I went to UMaine in the early 90s where I met my husband whom I have been with for over 30 years. I l live in Central Maine, where I have raised two daughters; now adults with their own lives.

In 1997, while pregnant with my first child, my doctors found problems with my kidneys.  Abnormal tests showed something wrong.  After giving birth to healthy baby, I never followed through with a kidney doctor.   Instead, I had a second baby.

After my youngest was born, I had a biopsy and found I had a serious kidney disease often linked to an autoimmune disease. By 2001, I had zero kidney function; I went on hemo-dialysis in July 2001.

25 years later I have a host of medical issues.  In 2022 I suffered muscle atrophy after 2 strokes.  I have lost the strength to walk.  Somehow i still managed to break my hip and need a partial hip replacement early in 2026. Now, I need a heart valve replacement after I get the dental work required.
