I have been going through it lately, if it isn’t my kidney failure of 25 years, it’s my Fibromyalgia. 26 years of constant joint pain, IBS, and fatigue due to a sleep disorder.
If it isn’t all that, it’s my asthma; mostly controlled, but allergy season still gets me.
If it isn’t any of that, it’s my Orthostatic Hypotension. Blood pressure that goes so low I can either pass out or just stay laying down. If it isn’t any of all that, it’s my heart; I need a new valve. Risky surgery with all my conditions. A surgery that may require my teeth being pulled andbthousands of dollars if i want any mew teeth.
If it isn’t my heart, it’s my toes. I have 4 dead or dying toes due to circulation in my legs… so it kind of is still my heart. If it isn’t my toes, it’s my hip. I broke it doing nothing and had a partial hip replacement a month ago. Or maybe it’s the seizures, or maybe the two strokes.
It could just be that 25 years on dialysis is hard on a body. I rarely get up; when I have to, my options are a wheelchair (that doesn’t fit in my house) or my scooter.
I love my scooter, but my body doesn’t. I need better options for my mobility. I get very tired fast and I get very weak using the scooter. A regular wheelchair is a lot of work for whoever I am with. Usually my husband, who has no cartilage in his lower spine.I need an electric, reclining, wheelchair with a higher seat; a flip up arm, so I can use my slide board, and finally get around on my own. I also need it to be somewhat light weight so we can get it into a normal minivan (Yesterday I transferred into my van for the first time since my hip surgery in March.)
I found the perfect chair that checks off all the boxes – so naturally, insurance will not cover it. Insurance only covers the kind that are too bulky and don’t work for me. The real kicker is it is only $750 or so to buy. The problem is it’s $750 or so more than I have.

I have a huge laundry list of needs. I have an actual Amazon Medical wishlist list HERE.
I have also started an account just for medical donations. This was the easiest way for me to ask for $ and actually receive the money without some third party taking a huge portion out for no good reason. Scan the QR Code below or donations can be sent to: Nikitazkyadonation@gmail.com through Zelle. You can also use it to say hi and leave a kind word. Please be nice; please be encouraging; please bring a smile to my face. Please do not add stress to what is a very stressful time. Scan to access Zelle

If you prefer one of the other ways to donate:
VENMO: @nikitazkya
CHIME: $Nikitazkya
ONE PAY: @cindy-dunham
CASH APP: $Nikitazkyacreations
I promise I will post on TikTok when I use any $ that I receive. If trust is an issue, please use my medical wish list to donate a specific item. I will not spend any donated $ on coffee, gas, food, or Legos.
If you would like to donate one of those things:
- Cumberland Farms
- Irving – gas
- Dunkin – gift cards are gold and can be sent right from the Dunkin’ app. to the above email.
- Hannaford – groceries
- Walmart – everythimg
- Amazon Wish List – non-medical items like Lego. (I spend a lot of time in bed, I need to do something)
I try to get Medicare and MaineCare to buy stuff when I can, but it is crazy how much they don’t cover. My needs are very specific because of my various ailments so I have carefully selected the items on my medical wish list above.
I appreciate all gifts, but the medical stuff is selected for a reason and another similar product may not work for me for one reason or another. I try to select cost effectively and with somethings I put in a few options. (I only need one)
My email for gift cards and well wishes is: Nikitazkyadonation@gmail.com
Thank you for reading all of this babble. Everything helps, even olig its wellwishes and encouragement.
With Love,
Cindy
